The University of Louisville is proud to be participating in the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills Program (Challenging Athletes Minds for Personal Success) initiated by the NCAA Foundation and Division I-A Athletic Director's Association in 1994. At the University of Louisville this program is known as Cardinal Life Skills. This all encompassing program wraps itself around the individual during his/her collegiate career and serves as a link between the student-athlete and the campus-wide opportunities they often have difficulty accessing due to their commitments as student-athletes. The Cardinal Life Skills program consists of five vital commitments to our student-athletes: Academic Excellence, Student Development, Career Planning, Student Outreach, and Sports Medicine.
